Christmas Trees

South Mountain Plantation carries a large selection of Douglas Firs, White Firs, Canaan Firs, Fraser Firs, and White Pines and also in smaller quantities Blue Spruce, Norway Spruce and other assorted exotic trees.
The Douglas firs are light and fluffy, but open and woody on the inner structure. The Fraser Firs are darker in color and the underside has a blue color. The Canaan Firs are similar to Frasers, but are greener and look very similar to the Canadian Balsam (the old time Christmas tree). Please see the photos below for help you identify the different trees.
We plant a lot of genetic variety and strains or sub-species of trees. We are always looking to improve on the Christmas tree to give you the customer great trees.
